So many answers, so much time. What comes after winter solstice? Spring equinox? Easter? Washington's birthday? Or, was that winter solstice 1892...in which case, a whole bunch of more solstices and equinoxes.

I think it's like the Tibetans describe, a dream like bardo, followed by, most likely, reincarnation. Although in the Tibetan idea, some people end up getting enlightened, or going to a hell like place...which is non-permanent, but can be long lasting. In these cases they might not get reincarnated. And even if you do get reincarnated, there is no guarantee it will be as a human, or on this planet, or in this dimension.

Immediately after death, it seems pretty likely that reports from "near death experiences" (NDEs) are probably pretty accurate. I see no reason to think otherwise.

But after that, I think it might get a lot more mysterious. I think beings might diffuse, and get absorbed in to other beings...maybe more in to the ones who were close to them in life.
